As many of you know, I’m headed to the Big Summer Potluck (#BSP2) this weekend! So, since I still need to do some laundry, pack, and wrap up 75 gluten-free sugar cookies I decorated for the event, I’m going to keep this short! I’m sure I’ll be sharing all fo the details about the event here…

There are few things better than fresh, sweet strawberries… Except maybe strawberry shortcake. And, if you ask me, replacing the shortcake with brownies makes it even better! Even though I don’t have tons of energy for cooking and baking, I have started to get back into the kitchen a bit. Over the weekend, my mom…

With warmer weather comes grilling season… And, if you’re anything like me, you love trying out new recipes! So, before I get to this week’s Friday Favorites, I thought I’d share the Backyard Barbeque Recipes eBook from Food Your Way. This week, it has finally started to feel like spring around here… Well, maybe more like summer! Either way, I’ve been enjoying the fresh air and getting a lot of work done on flower beds and garden outside. I’ve taken a lot of my cooking outside, too… The grill has been working overtime! One week and counting until Valentine’s Day!
As you may have guessed, my favorite part about Valentine’s Day is desserts. I’ve mentioned before that my hubby and I don’t usually go all out for Valentine’s Day gifts. I’m perfectly OK with that. Valentine’s Day desserts are a different story… For me, it’s just not Valentine’s Day without a decadent dessert. I don’t need diamonds, but please don’t mess with my chocolate!

We’ve been eating a lot of salads lately. We had my parents over for dinner a few weeks ago, and my mom brought along a spinach, strawberry, and walnut salad. Both my husband and I loved it, and I’ve been making versions of it ever since. When I was contemplating what to do with the…

It’s time for my update on the third week of the Ten in 10 (#10in10) Challenge! Fortunately, this week wasn’t nearly as busy for me as last week was. Even though I baked a red velvet cake last weekend (and I’m working on a chocolate peanut butter cake right now…), I feel like I have…

When I started the Penny Pinching Pantry Raid challenge, I decided that I would not be counting the food I prepared for previously planned events as a part of the challenge. The two picnics I attended yesterday for the 4th of July fell into that category. Since I needed to make four dozen cupcakes, I decided…
