This week has been a crazy one! I’m writing this post early (on Wednesday) since I’m headed to New York City on Thursday and Friday. I’ve been getting ready for my trip, trying to get some work done, and also doggy sitting for my parents this week. Needless to say, my house has been a bit…

Another month of Kitchen Bootcamp has come to a close. This month’s challenge was to make soup… What could be better for the month of January?
Though I haven’t posted them all, I’ve actually made quite a few soups this month. We’ve had some cold and snowy weather (though, not as much snow as I know many of you have had), so there have been many nights where I just craved some soup.

Recently, a Chipotle Mexican Grill opened up near my house… Okay, it’s not actually that close, it’s about 20 minutes away. But, that’s close enough for me. Before that, I had to go to Baltimore or New York to get my Chipotle fix. The thing is, it’s not entirely a good thing that Chipotle opened…

I would love to say that I had some great inspiration to make this dinner. On the contrary, I decided to make this for dinner tonight because flank steak was on sale (buy one get one free!) at the store today. My first instinct with flank steak was to make fajitas, but I wanted something…

I originally wrote this post last evening, trying to sneak it in in the few minutes before it turned to Saturday. However, my site went down right as I went to publish it. That will teach me to leave my Friday Favorites to the last minute! For the second week in a row, I am…

Cilantro and lime are not just for salads. They are also great ingredients to add to a marinade. Combined with the flavors of garlic and ground cumin, they make a wonderful marinade for steak fajitas. When I make fajitas, I marinade and grill one flank steak (about 2 pounds). I also grill sliced peppers and onions…
