Pretzel Praline Bites

2012-01-30_PretzelPralineBites-250px

I am a huge fan of all things salty and sweet… Salted caramel? I can eat it by the spoonful. Chocolate dipped pretzels? I love them! And, I totally understand the bacon cupcake fetish…While I’ve never actually baked one, I can definitely imagine all of the salty sweet goodness. I remember when the Take5 candy…

Friday Favorites – Episode 114

FridayFavorites_new.jpg

Thanksgiving is now less than one week away! Oh my! Despite the fact that I’ve been thinking about food for Thanksgiving for a few weeks now, it seems that I haven’t really made many decisions regarding what I’m actually making. Fortunately, I did remember to order a turkey ahead of time, so I’ve got that much covered. But,…

Friday Favorites – Episode 113

FridayFavorites_new.jpg

I’ve still got Thanksgiving on the brain… Consider yourself warned! I still haven’t figured out my menu for Thanksgiving… I’ve got plenty of ideas, but haven’t made any final decisions yet. I’m just having too much fun exploring new recipe ideas! Since I know a lot of you are planning your own Thanksgiving meals, I…

Friday Favorites – Episode 112

FridayFavorites_new.jpg

This has been one of the first weeks in quite a while that my hubby and I didn’t have something on the schedule every single night of the week. And, it’s been great. Because I’ve had some down time in the evenings, I’ve also been spending more time in the kitchen during the day. That’s…

I love to make biscotti, and I don’t do it nearly enough. Honestly, they are one of the easiest things to bake and they always make a great last minute gift when we are headed to a friend’s house. Everyone is always so impressed by homemade biscotti (and I don’t always feel the need to fill them…

Friday Favorites – Christmas Entertaining (Episode 75)

If you’re much like me, you’ve probably rushed around to finish all of your shopping and get the gifts wrapped so that you have next week to focus on food. Granted, I do make a lot of homemade gifts, so I don’t have ALL of my gifts done. But, I would much rather spend the week before Christmas in my kitchen listening to Christmas music while I cook and bake. It sure beats pushing your way through the super-crowded stores looking for last minute gifts! I suppose that it’s also a good time to clean the house if you have guests coming, but we won’t talk much about that.

Since I spent last week introducing you to more cookies than you could ever possibly bake during one holiday season (that’s a challenge… I dare you!), I thought it would good to focus this week’s Friday Favorites post on holiday entertaning! After all, we can’t live on cookies alone (or can we?).

Cranberry Nut Pumpkin Bread

Hopefully you’re not getting sick of pumpkin recipes yet! If you are, let me apologize now, because I’ll probably be cooking with pumpkin until Christmas (at least). I wait all year for the few precious months when I can bake and cook with pumpkin, and I take full advantage of it when the time comes….
