Friday Favorites – Episode 134

Friday Favorites – Episode 134

Since it’s Memorial Day weekend, I thought I’d share some festive recipes for this week’s Friday Favorites.  Apparently my mind is stuck on sweets, though.  So, if you’re looking for dessert ideas for your Memorial Day picnic, look no further. I think you’ll love these recipes!

  • I can’t stop thinking about this Salted Caramel Sauce from Brown Eyed Baker. I’m a big fan of the salty sweet combo.  I think it’s perfect for some summertime ice cream sundaes… What’s not to love?
  • When I was a kid, mint chocolate chip ice cream was one of my favorites.  It’s still pretty high up there on my list.  So, I can’t wait to make these Mint Chcoolate Chip Whoopie Pies from Tracey’s Culinary Adventures. Plus, they won’t melt and drip down my arm on a hot summer day!
  • If you have some leftover berries in your freezer from last summer, now is the time to use them! And, this Slow-Cooker Summer Berry Grunt from The Merry Gourmet is the perfect recipe! Plus, it’s a perfect no-fuss dessert for your Memorial Day picnic!
  • Last, but certainly not least, I have to share this gorgeous Patriotic Rose Cake from i am baker. It’s perfect for any patriotic holiday. You don’t have to be an experienced cake decorator, either… Amanda’s video tutorial shows you the easy steps for this cake!
