Lying Low…

Lying Low…

If you’ve been thinking that I’ve been a bit quieter than usual lately, you’d be right…

I’ve been dealing with some health issues, and for the last month, I’ve been referred from doctor to doctor and undergone lots of tests.  It’s been a long and stressful process, but I am relieved to finally be coming to the end of all of it. To make a long story short, I will be having surgery this Wednesday.  I am expecting to be in the hospital for a few days, and then I will have a 6 – 8 week recovery at home.

While I don’t plan to disappear completely, things may be a bit quieter around here than usual… My surgery was originally scheduled for the end of June, but it got bumped up after I was referred to a new doctor.  So, with only 5 days to get things done, I haven’t had nearly as much time as I would have liked to develop some new recipes and work ahead on blog posts.

I do have a few new recipes that I will share over the next few weeks, and I know there will be some special guests making appearances on the site, as well.  I have a lot of amazing friends who have agreed to help me with some guest posts! And, both my hubby and Yellowdog will most likely make an appearance, as well… After all, they’ll be doing all of the cooking around here for a while, and I’m sure they’ll love to share some of their experiences.

So, while I would much rather be cooking and baking, I’ll be laying low for a while… I promise that I will be reading your comments and emails when I have the chance, and I’ll do my best to respond.

Jen, I’m so sorry to hear that your health is not 100% right now and that you are having to undergo surgery. Knowing how you worry as you do, I can only imagine how stressful this past month has been for you. I’m sure you will soon find yourself recuperating very quickly and back to normal in no time. Will be thinking of you on Wednesday and offering a prayer for full recovery. Take good care of yourself and lay low as long as necessary. Your readers will be here. Sincere best wishes ~ Paula
