Friday Favorites – Episode 93

Friday Favorites – Episode 93

With warmer weather comes grilling season… And, if you’re anything like me, you love trying out new recipes!

So, before I get to this week’s Friday Favorites, I thought I’d share the Backyard Barbeque Recipes eBook from Food Your Way. It’s a free collection of recipes from many of my favorite bloggers, and I am thrilled to have a few of my recipes in the book, as well!  Be sure to check it out…

You can download your copy of the book right from this post – Just click on the badge!

Now, let’s talk about my favorite blog posts from the past week… As always, it was difficult to choose just a few!

  • I’ve mentioned before that my hubby and I don’t eat a lot of meat… We try not to! So, I’m always keeping an eye out for new vegetarian recipes to try.  I’m loving the look of this Soba Noodle Stir-Fry with Spicy Almond Butter Sauce from Brown Eyed Baker. I can’t wait to give it a try!
  • A few days ago, I tweeted this Cheesy Chili Mac from Tracey’s Culinary Adventures. I mentioned that I knew it was a dish my husband would love. Within minutes, he came downstairs and asked me when I was making it for him (he stalks me on Twitter from time to time!). It will be on the menu at my house next week!
  • I love to use my slow cooker… Even when the weather is warm! I’m looking forward to making this Slow Cooker Chicken and Smoked Sausage Gumbo from eat. live. travel. write. Then, I can go run errands (i.e. go shopping!) and come home to dinner and a kitchen that smells amazing!
  • I’m always excited when I find rhubarb at a farmer’s market this time of year… I just love it! The next time I see some, I will surely pick it up because I want to try this Strawberry Rhubarb Crisp from 17 and Baking.  Not only does the dessert look amazing, but, as always, Elissa shares a beautiful story, too!
