This week, it has finally started to feel like spring around here… Well, maybe more like summer!
Either way, I’ve been enjoying the fresh air and getting a lot of work done on flower beds and garden outside. I’ve taken a lot of my cooking outside, too… The grill has been working overtime! As a result, I’m leaning towards outdoor-friendly foods in this week’s Friday Favorites…
- If you’re planning a picnic or any kind of outdoor get together, I can’t think of a better dessert to prepare than these individual Cheesecakes in a Jar from I Am Baker. In fact, looking at them makes me want to go on a picnic this weekend!
- When the weather is warm, I am all about easy and flavorful food. These Santa Fe Chicken Salad Wraps from Good Life Eats fit the bill perfectly! I think they’ll be on the menu at my house very soon!
- I think cookies are meant to be eaten outside… No plates and utensils necessary! I can’t think of any cookies that are more perfect for all of this lovely warm weather than these Strawberry Filled Lemon Sandwich Cookies from Evil Shenanigans.
- Rice krispie treats are a perfect summertime snack, and I am just loving these Brown Butter Rice Krispie Treats over at The Merry Gourmet shared by Brian from A Thought for Food. You must read Brian’s guest post… I just love when two of my favorite blogs collide!
