I apologize that the announcement is a bit late, but I think this is one that can be tackled in a short amount of time. Since I recently discovered how to properly cook rice, I thought it would be a good idea for me to go back and review the chapter on Cooking Grains and Legumes (Chapter 27 in The Professional Chef). The chapter is one of those “back to basics” chapters with lots of great instruction on techniques. Plus, there are some really great recipes to try, as well!
As always, you are not obligated to use The Professional Chef… You simply must write a blog post about a recipe that incorporates cooking grains and legumes. Use whatever resources you have on hand, and be creative!
I’ll be posting the roundup here on the site on Saturday, April 30th, so please submit your posts by Friday, April 29th. I look forward to seeing what everyone comes up with!
