Spices Inc. Giveaway Winners!

Spices Inc. Giveaway Winners!

I have some great news today…

Remember my Spices Inc. giveaway? Well, it’s time to announce the winner!

I had a blast reading all of your entries… I was amazed with your creativity and all of the great combinations of spices.  Let me just say that I was glad that I wasn’t the one who had to choose a winner!

Here’s the best news, though… Greg from Spices Inc. had trouble picking a winner, too.  So, he decided to choose not one, not two, but three winners for the giveaway!

Here are the winning spice sets…

The Slightly Schizophrenic Globetrotter Collection
Set created by Marlis (The Itchy Homeschooler)

I can blame my love for cooking on my parents. They cooked it all, from Indian, French, Spanish, Chinese to Italian. Once started cooking I added Mediterranean, Middle Eastern and Mexican to the mix. My daughter’s favorite food? Samosas, Hummus and her daddy’s meatsauce LOL. My son is still young but he grooves a good Tandoori Chicken.

  • Ras El Hanout Powder
  • Fleur de Sel
  • Madras CurryPowder
  • Italian Seasoning
  • Baharat Curry Powder
  • Salt Free Adobo Seasoning
  • Sweet Spanish Paprika
  • Moroccan Vegetable Rub
  • Lemon Peel
  • Maharajah Style Curry Powder

Here’s Greg’s take on the set...

Anybody that can ‘blame’ their parents for their love of cooking is a winner in my book.

The Opportunist’s Diverse Gourmet Collection
Set created by Charlotte (El Olivar)

These unique and expensive spices are from many areas of the world and only a true gourmet can appreciate their rarity, aroma, richness and origin. They can be used in many dishes, from main courses to desserts, virtually every day in order to develop some of the beautiful flavours found in the world. These spices create opportunity for those who can’t travel, or for those who want to bring about sweet reminiscence, to share these flavours and memories with others.

  • Organic Garam Masala
  • Saffron
  • Organic Cardamom Pods
  • Organic Vanilla Beans
  • Organic Ground Black Pepper Medium Grind
  • Fleur de Sel
  • Star Anise
  • Organic Herbs de Provence
  • Organic Lavender
  • Organic Mustard Seeds

Check out why Greg chose this spice set as a winner…

I also really enjoyed her reasons for choosing this particular selection ‘as only a true gourmet can appreciate their rarity, aroma, richness and origin.’ That says it better than I ever could!

The Set to Get Cause I Don’t Have It Yet Set.
Set created by Kelly C (Through the Water)

Because all the “Around the World” set names were taken.

I did pick these because I wanted to try a variety of flavors that I
don’t already have and I love to be able to grab a bottle and shake it
on my meat and go when I haven’t really planned ahead for what to do
with that thawed meat. Thanks for the introduction to Spices Inc. I
learned a lot just from looking at the descriptions of all these spices.

  • Chinese Five Spice
  • Creole Seasoning
  • Greek Seasoning
  • Mediterranean Dry Rub
  • Southwest Seasoning
  • Moroccan Chicken Spice Rub
  • French Quarter Seasoning
  • Himalayan Pink Salt
  • Jamaican Jerk Seasoning
  • Pacific Seas Smoked Salt

And, of course, here’s what Greg thought about this spice set…

Every time I went back over the comments her reasons really stuck with me ‘I love to be able to grab a bottle and shake it on my meat and go when I haven’t really planned ahead for what to do with that thawed meat.’ I think that just resonates with so many who live crazy busy lifestyles while raising their kids.

Thanks!

I’d like to extend a big thank you to Greg at Spices Inc. for so generously giving away three custom spice sets… And, I’d also like to thank all of your for entering the giveaway!

Many thanks to both of you, Jen and Greg. I had the most wonderful time drooling all over my keyboard when I visited Spices Inc. Choosing only 10 from this incredible smorgasbord of spices and herbs was difficult but fun. Winning the give-away has me super excited and I just can’t wait to get cooking with these amazing spices!

  3. Charlotte says:

Brilliant, thank you :-) I agree with Marlis, that it was really hard to choose only 10 spices! Thanks so much for the giveaway and I’ll definitely be using them asap! :-)
