One of My Favorite Things (12 Days of Christmas Giveaway)

One of My Favorite Things (12 Days of Christmas Giveaway)

Over the past few months, I have become somewhat obsessed with the catering supplies from Restaurantware.com.  You’ve seen lots of their biodegradeable bamboo tableware featured here in my photos.

I am a minimalist when it comes to decor, tableware, and food photography. You have probably noticed that already!  When it comes to furniture, I love clean, simple lines and basic shapes.  I feel the same way about tableware… I like to keep it simple and let the food to speak for itself. I think that’s what I have loved so much about the bamboo tableware. I find that it lends itself well to a variety of food but it doesn’t take over the picture.  The food is still the star, which is just the way I like it!

Though I typically use mine for food photographs, it would also be perfect for entertaining (which is really what it is designed for). The pieces are disposable (though, I admit to having re-used a few of mine!) and eco-friendly, which means you don’t have to feel too bad about throwing them out.  On top of that, I think they look great. They definitely beat paper plates from the grocery store. I especially love the miniature bowls, boats, and cups. I think they would be absolutely perfect for a tasting party!  I also swoon over the little bamboo picks that are perfect for holding sandwiches together or dressing up a holiday cocktail.

Now, her’es the best part… My good friends at Restaurantware.com are feeling the holiday spirit and have agreed to sponsor a giveaway for my 12 Days of Christmas series.  One lucky reader will receive one case of the item of their choice from Restaurantware.com!

Here’s how to enter… Simply leave a comment telling me what item you want most from Restaurantware.com and also let me know how you’d use it.  Do you want cute bamboo picks to decorate your cocktails? Mini cups for a tasting party? Leave your comment by Sunday, December 19th at 10:00pm EST.  I will announce the randomly selected winner on Monday!

Note – This giveaway is open to US residents only.

My Kitchen Addiction Product Review Policy and Disclosure– I received the bamboo tableware featured in my photographs at no cost from restaurantware.com for the purpose of testing and photographing. When my husband and I have a few spare hours after work, we like to make our own sushi, including tuna hand rolls. The bamboo cone stand would add that little extra touch to make our evening complete :)

  4. KellyH says:

I’d use them for my kids, as the smaller sizes will be perfect for them, maybe a special lunch or something.

    Thanks

  5. The Stiletto Appetizer Spoon in black would make a lovely prop, but I’d also use it for serving an amuse bouche. I think a taste of chilled curried watermelon soup would be just right. The red on black look could be stunning.

  6. I’d want any sort of bamboo plates or cute little things to go with a party!

I’m having a hard time deciding between the 3 inch bamboo dish and the bamboo canoes! The canoes are so unique, but I think the dishes would be more useful on a daily basis. :-)

What I want most are the appetizer spoons! :)

  12. Oh my gosh, I’ve seen these a lot lately but haven’t had the chance to try them. They’re beauty-full. How to pick just ONE ; ) I think I’d be practical and go with the large leaf plates {although the cones, bowls and picks are also calling my name LOL}

Oh so many things to choose. I like it all. I guess I would pick the Girata Dessert Dish. I like how they stack and I would use them for some decedent dessert! :)

The lefleur cups are cute, I’d put some dip in them

  15. Renee says:

I would pick the Stiletto Appetizer Spoons in white since I’ve seen this trend of serving appetizers on spoons. So fancy! That would be a reason to get a dinner party started!

  17. Joy says:

  20. I’d go for the mini bamboo spoons because they’re cute and would photograph well. But it’s kinda wasteful, isn’t it?

  21. Tracy says:

What don’t I like? The plastic mini tasting bowls and bodega cups look versatile, but I also love the medium modern plates and wave spoons.

  27. Shannon says:

the bamboo plates or dishes (2.5″) would be perfect for holiday entertaining!!

  28. Chris says:

I love this site…have been trying not to go hog wild. There are so many items – like the tear drop spoon I can use for my pastry version of a lemon drop shot, or the dual tasting cup…great for a deconstructed dessert of some kind! :)

  29. I love the bamboo loop picks; fun for cocktails and apps and I’ve been looking without success…so I win either way. Thanks Jen!
