Ilene – I have not actually tried preparing the scones the night before, but I think it would probably work. Be sure to refrigerate them overnight, and I’d hold off on adding the cinnamon sugar on top until you are ready to bake.

I never thought I’d say this, but I’ll bet those were a really good stand-in for donuts. That cinnamon filling looks positively amazing. And I can just about smell them from here!

Those scones are absolutely stunning! I could only imagine the smells of brown sugar and cinnamon wafting through the air as they bake… mmmm….
