I’m headed to NYC!

I’m happy to announce that I was selected as one of fifteen Foodbuzz Featured Publishers to attend the Electrolux cake decorating event with Kelly Ripa to generate support and awareness for the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund!  The event is being held in New York City, and I can’t wait to meet all of the other amazing bloggers who will be there!

I am honored to be chosen, and I am especially excited to help raise awareness for such a great cause! In their own words, the mission of the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund is “to fund research to find a method of early detection and ultimately a cure for ovarian cancer.”  The symptoms of ovarian cancer (learn more here) can be difficult to detect and are common and vague, making it hard to diagnose.  It is the leading cause of of death from gynecologic cancers in the US.

Everyone has important women in their lives… Finding ways to detect and cure ovarian cancer is important not just for ourselves, but for our mothers, sisters, daughters, and all of the other women in our lives!

Please show your support and take some time to check out the information over at the Ovarian Research Fund’s site.  And of course, be sure to check out all of the other bloggers who I will get to spend some time with in the Big Apple!
