Love the dog cookies. I used Butternut squash, cooks faster and no need to puree. Less clean up. Cooked at 325f for only about 20 minutes. Yummy.

I had a great time making these cookies, and both my dogs loved them! Even my snobby girl that only wants meaty treats loves them. I used a squirrel cookie cutter, since it’s the only one I have, but they turned out so cute, I’m going to make more for my babies and all their doggie friends.
I saved some time by microwaving the acorn squash. I just pierced the squash in a few places so they wouldn’t explode, then microwaved until they went soft (8-10 minutes).

I’m so glad I’m not the only person who makes homemade treats for our dog! I’ll have to give these a try…we usually make Kramer cinnamon and carrot cookies — he absolutely loves them.

What an adorable little doggy :) I love that he loved his treats. I tried making homemade cat treats for my little kitten on his birthday and he completely ignored them…haha.
