Sparkling Sangria-Inspired Punch

My husband brought home a bottle of my favorite sparkling wine this weekend – Martini & Rossi Asti. While I enjoy drinking it plain, I think it tastes wonderful with fresh fruit.

My husband and I both enjoy traditional red wine sangria with brandy and citrus fruits. That concept of mixing fruit and wine inspired this punch recipe. It’s a very simple recipe that can easily be made for 2 or 20. Try using your favorite juice and fruit for a bit of variety.

Ingredients:

  • Fresh pineapple, cut into bite size pieces
  • Fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 part cranberry juice (100% juice, no sugar added)
  • 2 parts sparkling wine or champagne

Punch Directions:

Chill the wine or champagne.  Place the pineapple and strawberries in the bottom of a glass pitcher.  Add the cranberry juice.  Stir to combine.  Chill for 30 minutes, letting the flavors combine.  Add the wine or champagne to the fruit mixture right before serving.
